Tabby has come back home from Rachel's house. Tabby has been very good lately. She has been used in lessons and has been jumping without any bucking or bolting (which is very suprising!) Rachel is still going to be riding and showing her a lot, but Tabby is still for sale and Nan might buy her depending on how well Tabby is for her. If you are interested or know someone who might be interested in buying Tabby, please leave a commet below and I will tell Tempe ASAP. Thank you!!
P.S. If you want to see a video of Tabby, go on the Pictures page and the video is on the top page. She was a little naughty over the jumps but she is very diffucult to ride incase you were wondering. If you like difficult horses, Tabby might be the one for you :)

Bennington, the Oldenburg/Thoruoghbred gelding that hurt his leg, can be ridden again and has gone home with one of the advanced students, Rachel. Rachel has been riding Ben a lot and has decided to bring Tabby back and to bring Ben home. Ben will not be able to jump for another six months, but Rachel is planning on showing Ben in dressage by the end of the summer, and they have been doing tons of flat work. We all hope that Ben will stay safe and be able to be the horse that he used to be.
P.S. He wasn't jumping the jumps in the background in one of the photos.

About a week ago, Maridee's SW mare, Maybelline was diagnosed with colic. It was a very serious case, and all of the prayers have been answered. May is all better now, but last night, Maridee rode her for the first time since before May was sick. Brave Maridee tried jumping the highly strung mare, and May took off at full speed bucking and rearing. It took a whole gallop around the ring until Maridee could slow May back down to walk. Poor Maridee almost got rammed into the fence and halfway fell off until she pulled herself back up. We are all very thankful that Maridee and Maybelline are safe and healthy. We all know never to jump this horse unless we want to fall off.

Bennington (Ben), Maridee's high strung Oldenburg is for sale. Back in May, Ben banged up his leg in the pasture, and has been lame ever since. Maridee rode him once last month, but just a little bit of walking around. Ben gets hurt ALL THE TIME. Maridee only rode him about 20 times because he keeps on getting hurt. We are hoping that Bennington will be sent to a great place that will keep him healthy and take good care of him. Ben is $1,000. If you think you know a good place for him to live, please leave a comment and I will let Tempe and Maridee know right away. Thanks!!

Hello everyone!
The Halter Club welcomes you to our blog. We have come so far to finally have a website and a blog. We owe it all to the members.
The latest news is the Ballet and Buckaroos fundraiser. Greensboro Ballet is having a fundraiser at Flintrock Farm sometime this Spring to help raise money for Greensboro Ballet. The Halter Club would love to help provide entertainment for the fundraiser.
  • We need as many members as we can to help out with the fundraiser. Our group is thinking about hosting a mini horse show to provide entertainment. Even though it might not be until next Spring, we want to be as ready as possible to help raise money for Greensboro Ballet. If you have any comments, just go on our Contact Us page on our website. Thank you so much!!
